Great story. Is the child a member of Eren's slaughtered tribe? Why was she there?

Yes the child was from Eren's tribe. At the start of her POV it says "that thing had found her hiding in the remains of her father's cart." Basically as the Vampire and his thrall (the female one chasing her at the end, why she died so easily) started slaughtering the tribe, June's father hid her amongst his wares to save her. The vampires didn't find her until later because the scent of blood right after the slaughter was too strong for them to pick up her scent amongst the rumble.
