*Opening Theme* It's The Alex and Charlie Flashback

"MEL! Mel, over here!" Charlie tried to get the attention of the girl who'd been his neighbor since primary school, but to no avail. Finally, he decided to just walk over to her. She stood in front of a row of lockers with a group of very skinny boys. They, like her, wore black baggy clothes. As well as wearing black lipstick and black nail polish. "Mel, I was just calling you, didn't you hear me?" The young lady appeared to be mortified. "Not now, Charlie!" she urged. "What? Why not?" He queried, glancing at the others. Knowing he wouldn't lay off anytime soon, Mel grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the other boys. "It's Melissa now, and what do you need?" "I don't know" Charlie replied. "I just thought we could talk before our first day of classes this year. I haven't seen you since my family and I went to Italy for the summer!" She nodded her head. "Yeah well, I've made some new friends in that time. We can still talk after school, just not in front of people."

As she walked back to her new mates, Charlie pouted a bit. "Hey Melissa, what's with the bender?" he over heard one of the boys ask. He couldn't help but be amused by the irony. Clutching two text books to his chest, he tried to make his way through the crowded hallway to his locker. Over looking him, a girl stuck out her leg, causing Charlie to trip and fall forward. Almost everyone around him started laughing, he felt like such an idiot. "Can I help ya out, mate?" asked an unfamiliar voice. "Uh, sure" Charlie said looking up at the figure. It was a young man wearing a loose fitting black shirt that simply had the word Identity on the front.

"That was some fall, big guy! You alright?" Charlie grabbed the hand the other boy held out to him, using it to get back up. He then picked up the books he'd dropped. "Yeah! Thanks so much!" Charlie blurted, now out of breath. The other young man was a bit shorter and had big black almost feathery looking hair. "No problem, but now you gotta help me." Charlie stared at the guy, not sure what to expect. "Oh right! I'm Alex, by the way." "Nice to meet you, Alex. I'm Charlie." "Cool! So, I'm new here, Charlie. Any chance you know where Mr. Tyler's class is? It's English." Charlie snatched the schedule out of Alex' hand. "Never heard of him, but the room number should be on here… Yep, 305! That's roughly where I'm headed. Want me to point you in the right direction?" Charlie began to lead the way. Alex thought about it a minute. "Um… Yeah man, lets go!" He said excitedly as he followed the other boy through the halls.

Three classes Later, Charlie arrived at his locker finally getting a chance to take some of his books out of his backpack. He left the books, he wouldn't be needing later in the locker and pulled out a sack lunch. "So, I noticed we have something in common." Charlie heard a voice say. "Huh?" he uttered facing the sound. It was the young man from earlier he was closing the door to a near by locker and also holding a sack lunch. "Oh, you! What do we have in common?" "Well…" the shorter boy started. "I see that you have a paper bag… And I have a paper bag. So, I'm thinking we might be going to the same place." The boy's sarcasm pleased Charlie. His family was really sarcastic, so meeting others like them always made him feel at home. "I don't know… You really shouldn't jump to conclusions" Charlie said faking much seriousness.

When they got to the cafeteria they sat down at an empty table and began to eat. Charlie talked about his family a bit. Alex mentioned that he and his mother had moved to Bath because of her new job. The two continued to talk and joke until Alex' expression suddenly became very grave. "Charlie if we're gonna be mates, there's something you need to know…" Charlie sat up straight and looked at the boy, the smile now dropping from his face. "I have this problem" Alex confessed. "You see, whenever I get really close to a guy I start getting these… urges. The last close friend I had was in primaries. One day on the playground the urges got so strong I just started snogging him. I couldn't help it!" Charlie began to grit his teeth, not at all amused by the story. Seeing this, Alex busted out with laughter. "How do you know about that story?" Charlie asked now cracking a bit of an embarrassed smile. "Some girl named Melissa told me in my last class." Charlie rolled his eyes, unsurprised by this information. "I guess she saw us together in the hall and thought she should warn me. Don't worry, though. I think it's HAWT!" Alex jokingly assured him. "Oh God, shut up!" Charlie demanded through uncontrollable laughter. "It was just a peck on the lips and I didn't even know what it meant back then!" Alex Laughed even harder.

At the end of the day the two boys walked together from their lockers to the front of the school. When they got outside they said their goodbyes and started walking to their respective homes. "Alex!" Charlie shouted to his new mate. "You wanna spend the night over at my house sometime?" "Uh sure!" Alex said, amused by the boys' childish offer. "Oh and Alex…" "Yeah, Charlie?" he shouted back. "Are you wearing a wig?" Charlie asked, giggling a bit. "Fuck you!" Alex called back. They both continued to walk home laughing hysterically, leaving the other teens outside of the school in shock.
