This is the Aika painting I did recently for passing the 100,000 view milestone, shown during the various stages of completion. Some people find these interesting, so here you go!

I LOVE process art!
I have to say though, the GREAT LEAP between # 1 and # 2 remind me of the old "How To Draw" books I'd buy, before I gave up on that whole scene. It was always like this:
How to Draw a car:
1. Draw a rectangle
2. Draw EVERYTHING else.

Thanks! It is hard to show the profess on something, especially a drawing. My favourite part is step one... working out the basic idea. You can just have fun and let your imagination run amok, with no pressure to make things look good. Just wish I had a team that could take it from there.

Very awesome. Actually it's the exact same as my process. The only difference is that I do a full sized sketch using an enlarged version of the thumbnail sketch. I guess mainly because I have to make sure certain details are in place. Then lines, then flats, then color for shade, then multiply, then lighting enhancements. Thanks for the inside scoop on your process man. Really really really love your work. Really love those relaxed colors and overall drawing appearance.

Cool, thanks a lot! I sometimes re-draw the scene a second time if I want to work out the details more, or if I am unhappy with certain parts, though I am trying to do this more on the computer, rather then on paper.

Yes! I have pencil versions of all my paintings. Maybe I will do a contest one day, "draw my Senya character" or something like that.
