This page ultimately only took a few hours to sit down and digitally edit/color/shade after the inking process was done. Which made me feel immense shame in this taking so long to get to. But alas, I did it! My Portfolio class is over the hump and most of the work is completed for it so I can devote more time on PERSONAL ART! Comic first of course!
Tried a slightly new thing this time. I tried to bite the bullet and do something I always wanted to do, which was model Ambivian furniture off Victorian Era style, which is what I always imagined them having. However, I was always hesitant to do this because Victorian era stuff is so freakishly detailed. But I decided to try focusing on the basic shapes and functions of it rather than the detail for this experiment because, well, if I tried to be that detailed I would never finish these pages. I just haven't gotten to that stage of my art yet. But I was encouraged to do so by a comment given to me by Liketheisland ! So thanks for that! Still need to practice more since it is only some chests, chairs, and a table buuuut you get the idea of where it's going!
(Since a couple people got confused last time, the wall where Tanner is sitting juts out and there are two short indents/halls on either side. Just to clarify that.)
As for the page itself, I tried touching back on the way I handled humorous scenes back when the gang was more prominent. The "chibi" style and random shifting backgrounds are outdated to my current stuff, but sometimes throwbacks are fun!
Also the evidence of inconsistencies in proportions to characters and furniture begins once more. Will it ever end? Likely not!

It's nice to have Tanner back, plus Jackie! I'm loving the furniture too! The couch Tanner's laying on is just like those fancy ones you sit on in a hotel lobby and kept rubbing your hand over the bumpy things on the arms! The inking is still one of my favorites, and compliments the shading style really well. C: Can't wait to see if Kailani checks her silly phone or not!

I'll say this. This was a good page. After a long time of waiting and being extremely tired while in the army, this is a good page to read. But it feels like it lacks the impact that I was hoping for. Who knows maybe I was just expecting a bit too much because all the things that are happening in my life. But I do like the over dramatic humor this page gave. PS. The back ground for Tanners reaction needs a bit more work. And the look on his face doesn't look panicked... Just....... Just someone trying to sing a note that they're not used to.

I always adore a well made comic page. Not only did you manage to fit relevant dialogue in along with the joke of the whole thing, the flow of this page is absolutely -beautiful-. Tanner's body language just brings that out all the more, from the way his hands fall to the set of his ears.
As for that furniture... eh, things always slide a few feet around when you aren't looking. It's a furniture conspiracy. It's why we all end up with stubbed toes in the morning XP
You got the Victorian feel though, don't worry about that! The panel showing the rest of the room is just great and gives me hope that background -really are- possible XD *can't do BGs worth a crap myself XDD*
Her hair reminds me of Picard for some reason and I've never even read that story XD and it isn't even the same color... but it does anyhooowwwwww.

Aww I'm glad you notice all those little details! I think ears and hands are the things I pay the most attention to when adding expressions. They are so diverse in how they can be portrayed!

I'm digging the story, but there's one thing that bothers me. If this is some alien world, hence why it's in the "AlienAllience" group, then why is everything so similar if not identical to our world? Cellphones, cars, dresses, jewelry, buildings/architecture, cultures, the way they gossip? The characters might as well be human. I understand I'm critiquing a little here, and I really like this and how hard you work on it, but if the characters were human, the story would feel no different.

I have to heavily disagree with you on that one. The story would not be the same at all as my alien species affect the plot line very heavily, as do their behaviors in certain parts of the story. If they were humans it would only end up being an alternative universe type deal (like those stories with humans but their environment/culture/religion are different from ours) and in that case why not just turn them into anthros? It wouldn't be any different in comparison. Least to me.
As for the looking like our world, I DO agree and it's the most frustrating critique I recieve (I appreciate it still though, don't misunderstand). When I mentioned the discussion I had with a commenter (Thelittleisland)? They mentioned the EXACT same thing. We discussed attempting to try putting styles into the environment (victorian era) and warping them around to start pushing it away from that. It's in a beginning stages but I'm trying.
And frankly I just disagree that the environment NEEDS to be extremely wacky/futuristic to be "alien". I do absolutely agree it needs to be pushed more heavily (cellphones and tshirts shouldn't be so commonly seen as example), but it's a struggle for me. What you see is honestly the best I can do because I don't SEE their world being extremely different from ours.
But I am going to keep trying. I just don't have high hopes because I've tried the past 6 years and there's been little improvement. But I'll keep going at it. I try to brainstorm more and more each time it's mentioned.

Sorry if I frustrated you, I don't feel that your comic is lacking in that sense, more of just a - maybe this could actually help some - sort of critique, but by all means don't feel obligated to change it on someone else's opinion, least of all mine.
It's more of a suggestion, to make you think about whether changes are needed, and if not, that's the way it is meant to be. After all, you are the writer AND the artist. Something very hard to pull off.

Oh it was not rude in the least! Never feel bad for leaving a critique! I just needed to vent it out and explain things since this has been a reoccurring issue (one you never would have been aware of). Your feedback was 100% valid!
I try not to sound angry (or butthurt) in my responses so if I do that's my bad! I definetly appreciate hearing others views of my story, whether they are frustrating or not, because no story is perfect and there is always room for improvement. Nah, I think it's perfectly fine to defend oneself when critiqued but not to the point you are demeaning said critique in the first place. As said, your feedback was valid, it was simply frustrating to me because it's the most repetitive critique I have received. But the mere fact it is repetitive implies it's a problem with more than one person (I believe 3 or 4 now to be precise) so some sort of measure aught to at least be attempted. Even if I can't satisfy the demand, at least I tried! And I have feedback to thank for it~ :3
