Kopa was sneaking through the tall grass, trying not to make a sound. It was only a week ago he was attacked by Zira – one of the pride lionesses. The leg and face wounds still hadn’t healed completely, so he was limping and began to lose his sight. Unsuccesfully, he tried to find the Pride Rock, but it seemed that Zira chased his far away from Pride Lands, and instead of his home he found another trouble.

- What have we got here? – the little prince heard a cold voice above him.

He raised his head and saw a scarred face and an evil grin. One bright red eye stared at him. Despite being terrified and could barely move, Kopa was about to run, but the rogue lion pressed him against the ground, digging his long claws in his back.

- Where do you think you’re going? – growled the scarred lion. – Let’s play a game.

- I don’t want to play with you! – shouted Kopa and bit the rogues paw.

It did’t do much damage, but it surprised the torturer and he let the cub go. Brave little prince rushed towards the rocks he saw in the distance and hoped that they will shelter him.

- Slow down, little one, we’ve just begun, - grinned the rogue and followed the cub.

The rocks turned out to be a gorge with high walls and only one road. Kopa now had wounds all over his body, including his front paw, which he didn’t notice and which made him limp even more, but his torturer didn’t seem to hurry. Little prince heard the mad laughter behind him, that made him move faster and seek for salvation.

Enough happy things, let’s go back to dark ones! Honestly, I feel so bad for my characters, but the torturer inside me rejoices. (Please, believe me, I’m good person in real life ^^”) But really, I was so exited to share this piece with you! There will be two more parts.
And it seems that I finally found a style that I’m happy with!

So, here we have Kopa and a bit of his story, epecially how he got all his scars. What do you think will happen to this poor boy? And also can you guess who this rogue lion is? (I didn’t show or mention him anywhere, just try to guess if you want^^ A little hint for you: he is related to a canon character)

One last thing I want to say: I’m so in love with my design for Kopa, so be ready for a bunch of Kopa art in the nearest future! ^^
