I remember that version...but, for some reason, yours has a bit more, I dunno, charm to it. Can't place my finger on it, but I like yours just as much as, if not more than, his. You're really good with coloring, you know.

Now, now, Dimentio. No need to flatter yourself but yeah, me and Machaphasesix ... just two guys that thought it would be a good idea to portray the wonder of dimension-shifting magic, and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome
I'm glad you like it, and thank you for the fav also

Hahahahaha... wow I love it! Like how you managed to draw the Happy Platform behind him, just fantastic.. And the outline is superb, I see no flaws.

Heh, heh, thanks very much I was going to do more than just the one platform, but you know, small details get rather complex with colouring pencils
I have recommended that people who fav mine, fav yours as well. It only seems fair, as mine is only good because yours was in the first place. An excellent Dimentio if I do say so :claps: Thanks again

Your version is much better. Everyone could do such effects on a computer, but you did it by hand! This is commendable!

Machaphasesix In reply to Artemendo [2008-01-29 05:22:30 +0000 UTC]
Well ouch... Sure that's a compliment for Alias, but that's like saying mine's worse than his... You shouldn't make comparisons like that, especially when you don't know the details of how each picture was made.. It hurts feelings...
Sure mine's digital, but I don't have a tablet pen, it was mouse made, completely in photoshop, and I'd say that takes a little bit more practice than just drawing it with a traditionally.

Artemendo In reply to Machaphasesix [2008-01-29 15:24:48 +0000 UTC]
Well, as an artist, you should be able to handle critique and comparisons. Newsflash: there's a lot of drawings out there better than yours.
And you shouldn't have your feelings hurt by a small comparison if you've already got tons of favs for simply using the line tool, bucketfilling it with some gradients, and applying a filter.
π: 0 β©: 1
Machaphasesix In reply to Artemendo [2008-01-29 19:21:33 +0000 UTC]
First off, Photoshop Elements doesn't have a line tool (I think you got photoshop mixed with Flash)... Second, what makes a good critique is one that doesn't bring up other works, unless the comparison is to show what they could improve on. Third I never did say MY feelings were hurt. Fourth, you again assumed I made it in a way that I actually didn't.
And the newsflash thing... Come on, there's no need to act like that... Duh...

Thank you very much
I try and do most things by hand nowadays cos I don't think doing a quick piece of digital art and getting a bunch of favs is a rewarding as when people do some good ol' fashioned traditional. Your Username is cool
π: 0 β©: 1
Artemendo In reply to Alias-Aether [2008-01-06 13:57:59 +0000 UTC]
You are very welcome!
This is my point of view exactly! Most of my digital pieces look better and get more favs than the hand-drawn ones, but traditional art takes much more time, is more fun and improves your artistic skills more.
And thank you very much! It is a name I use everywhere, so if you see an Artemendo elsewhere, it's surely me!

Alias-Aether In reply to Artemendo [2008-01-06 14:13:30 +0000 UTC]
I'm glad to finally find someone who thinks the same as me Don't get me wrong though, I'm up for all kinds of art: traditional, digital, pixel, photography etc (sometimes even crafts) I just think some people underestimate the time it takes to do certain things and aren't properly appreciated. I've been looking through, your gallery. I like both your traditional and pixel art very much. Your ideas are unique

Artemendo In reply to Alias-Aether [2008-01-06 14:23:51 +0000 UTC]
You don't know how glad I am! Most of the artists I know on here have one style and stay with it forever - you seem to employ many styles and methods, and quite wonderfully, I must add!
Thank you very much! I try to come up with something entirely different for everything I work on!
