This sat unfinished on my desk for like two weeks before I was able to finish it tonight. I just kind of lost intrest in painting it or anything else for that matter. Hate when that happens. I really just wanted to do a background on this.. because I don't usually add in detailed backgrounds or anything and I thought I should practice.Related content

Ohh, very interesting indeed. Has a kind of abstract, surreal feeling to it. I love the pastel-like colors, they're soft, but kind of off in a way that makes the whole piece seem a bit dark. Does this have any sort of meaning behind it, or it just completely random?

I think it was random.. I didn't begin it with any kind of concept.. was just drawing out of boredom like usual. I started to think of something like a land that time forgot sort of theme after drawing the monkey-like hands for feet.

For whatever reason, and this is meant as no slam, I'm reminded of Doug, but a really cool, semi-futuristic, alternate universe version where Doug is awesome. I like this!

Yeah, it's a bizarre thing to connect it with, I agree, but it's what I saw. To clarify, I really enjoyed Doug, so the connection is no slam.

i know what you mean ..
you have seen images of mine where i have explained that they have sad uncomplete for weeks or months...
its annoying because for me i cant seem to draw anything else untill an image is done...
and i will hardly continue frawing something i am unhappy with to try and make it better -shrugs-
either way its annoying.
i think this is great! from the tiny thumbnail i saw in my dev watch lists to this, now the larger version ...
its color and form is just too tasty.
i like her feet, it looks like something i would be afraid of doing cuz it might look ugly but you have made it not close to that.

The border is actually a maroon or brownish color I think.. I just had to tweak the colors a lot because my scanner drained the life from it. I managed not to use any black for once heh. Everything that looks black is either purple, brown, or prussian blue

The figure itself is superb....and so are thetextures in the background. I love how the outlines aren't all black, and I like gow some parts of the pic expand out of the frame.

f I like it!! I like also the background and the colours... I found the idea you suggested in the background: it's half a graveyard half a garbagefield... our deads, with time, aren't anything more tha grabage....

I meant arm instead of legs... since it seems that below her knees arms have been attached... and, of course, the arms end with the hands.
