Description Ok, this is really just experimenting how my skinning shading technique works on 2D drawings, and I think it works well.

This is just me trying it out on an older drawing (that giant robot thing). I probably will finish it off, but not for a while.
It came out better than expected.

Done using the lighten and darken retouch tools on PSP5. Also done with a really low mouse sensitivity and by slowly using my left hand and murdering my right, so I won't continue for a while.

cool! I really should just bite the bullet and buy a decent image editor...

then I'd be able to do this sort of stuff

But I must say, metal is the easiest effect to achieve.

the easiest!? what is more complicated then metal reflection( except from liquids)?

It's easy. Really. The lighten and darken tool give a good effect. The shiny surface is really easy to get right if you know what to do. A realistic wood or plastic or skin effect is much harder.
