Description
These are some concept sketches for plant life on the hypothetical planet Alpha Centauri Ab as part of my Centauri project. I wanted to get the ideas of the plants and their fruits/seeds down and run them through a speculative biology forum I'm a part of before making finalized drawings.
From left to right you have a low-level plants akin to carpet moss, reed-like grasses whose seeds ride the wind with glider-like structures, a crawling shrub whose supports it's leaves with "feet" and whose fruit have a low density so they bounce when they fall off, pillar trees whose fruits have parachutes to slow their descent, frame trees who interconnecting structure dominates the landscape, and vines with claws that firmly grasp to the frame trees and whose fruits are lowered on specialized appendages then helicopter to the ground.
