Description So here's a brief study of a reptilian according to I.C.A.R. (International Community for Alien Research): icar1.homestead.com/Index.html

I made the face shorter than the last pic that had a reptilian because I was recently told by I.C.A.R.'s international director that the face is a little more human like but still "reptilian looking".  I actually based the head and neck shape on the Turians from Mass Effect which seem to fit what is being described the most.  Some details about this species: They are not actually reptiles.  Intact, their physical characteristics suggest they belong to their own unique group.  Their skin is smooth but bumpy (possibly giving the look of scales) and warm to the touch, suggesting they are warm blooded.  They also have gills on their necks which discounts them from being mammals.  Their hands are webbed and have claw-like nails instead of actual claws.  The spikes and tail are actually something that is only found in adults/alphas.  Their society is a mostly equal but they appear to also have family hierarchies based on age and a possible warrior caste.  The spikes and tails are a symbol of this higher status and it is considered a disgrace if the tail is cut off (though it eventually grows back).  Behaviorally they are the most like us (compared to the other races visiting Earth).  Is is speculated by some that the "reptilians" might actually be from Earth.  I'm personally skeptical of this for various reasons.  It should also be noted that they are not malevolent (none of them really are) but can be aggressive.  However, they seem to respect abductees with strong will and if you are firm (not harsh) with them, they will show more respect.  An investing thing about them is that though they can communicate telephonically like the other aliens, they are also know to speak verbally in our language and in a language that can be best described as mix of Klingon and Spanish.  They and the human-types have a ancient grudge with each other (for reasons not necessarily clear) but they seem to have the same spiritual/religious beliefs.

If anything else comes up I'll edit this or ask in the comments.

Oh, they can't shape shift (none of the aliens can).  They can only project an image inside and senses inside a person's head to make them look and feel like something else.  They often use this to look like the beautiful/handsome aliens that we often call Nordics.

From what I was told, they're omnivores like us though there are some cases where individuals were seen "snacking" on whole raw fish.

Why are the hands webbed?

I like the slightly asymmetrical face though.

Its part of their description, they are amphibious.  They wasn't wasn't supposed to be asymmetrical but thanks anyway.
