Here's a second page featuring concept art of my tech humans (working out an interesting name for them). It's super fun brainstorming these guys (no pun intended) and I have more details to share.

As mentioned in the previous concept art, the Tech humans are brains modified to have the upper limits of volume and neuron capacity then placed in protective shells that provide external stimulation and increased information processing. Within these shells, the brains are suspended in a fluid to prevent them from collapsing and making the exchange of sustenance and waste easier. In the fluid are free swarming nanobots that treat any damage and aliments that may occur. finally, surrounding the shell is a compact swarm of nanobots that form into whatever the tech human needs (such as limbs ad weapons as pictured) and taking in required sustenance. For reproduction, they use a method of cloning where DNA of individuals are combined and only the brain is developed and placed within it's own shell.I'm still working out their culture but I currently imagine them having a superiority complex and continually striving for perfection, leading to some conflicts that would force them to isolate themselves to continue their research and innovation in peace. I still have the backstory of them acquiring them DNA through questionable means but now it’s the most genetically distinct and not the smartest individuals as it was pointed out to me that genetics doesn't really play a part in intelligence. Case in point, Einsteins brain was study after his death and was found to be no different than the average human brain.
