Description
So this is the third installment in my Lara Goes Uncharted series. This particular scene is from the first Uncharted game, as Nate is running on a bridge but, of course, the bridge starts collapsing. And now Lara is in for it too.Done with XNALara, Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom tablet.

The 60 ft pillar had broken and was starting to topple. In no time it would come crashing down on the walkway they were trying to cross.
"Ahh crap! We gotta run!" Nate bellowed into Lara's ear. She looked up and saw the coming danger. If that thing landed on the walkway with them still on it, they'd go spiraling to their deaths toward the chamber floor below.
"Watch out!" She yelled as pillar debrisΒ from high above their heads began raining down around them. Some landing on the walkway itself, dangerously close.
"Crap, crap, crap...this is gonna be close!" Nate felt his heart hammering. The pillar would be on them in seconds and they were some 200 yards from the other side. They'd have to run like the wind if they were to have a chance. Running side by side, the treasure hunters ran for there lives across the ancient walkway, turning right and left, dodging falling rubble or catching each other before falling through an opening from a missing plank. After they reached the last pillar in the, both saw to their horror that a good 30 ft of the walkway was missing. The odds of them making a jump now were slim to none.
But the pillar wasΒ a mere breath away from crashing the walkway to splinters. It was now or never. At the last possible moment, the two gathered every last drop of adrenaline they had and jumped the gap.
"Aaaaahhh!!!" They screamed. They heard the deafening crash of the pillar hitting the walkway. Seconds later, they heard all the wood and stone falling into a heap onto the chamber floor. The cloud of dust it caused seemed to fill the place like pee soup fog. Lara and Nate reached for the ledge. Their hands grasped the platform and in a moment they had pulled each other safely over the top. Both laid on their backs side by side in the dust panting and coughing. Then, Lara began to chuckle. Nate did the same. Soon, they were both laughing. As they sat up, they looked at each other, then out across the empty space of the chamber where there had just been a walkway before looking back at one another.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Lara said through her laughter.
"That we just defied gravity?" He replied through his own laughter.
"Yes."
"You'd be right."

God, I still remember that scene in Uncharted... I believe I had to redo it a few times for Nate to make it out alive on the other side! LOL! But it would have been so much better with Lara at his side... Another perfect ficlet!

I know, right7? They would be so great as a team. Sexy, smart, banter all around, always arguing about something yet sharing a common goal (although perhaps not for the same reasons ).Β

It's really nice how you make them like they were really together like an original piece!
