Sam Fisher – “I told you not to get involved in this mess but you didn’t listen, did you?”Lara Croft – “When do I ever? You should know better, really... We’re in this together, Sam, whether you like it or not. I’m not going anywhere."
These are my two of my favourite video game characters: Sam Fisher, from the Splinter Cell series, and Lara Croft who probably doesn't need any introduction anyway.
I think they would make a fantastic team. They're both so sexy and totally badass, and I just love them! 
I had been wanting to put them in the same piece of fanart for a long time now. This is the first one and hopefully there will be a few more to come.

No, he isn't. I tried explaining this to another Deviant who called the whole thing creepy: Believe it or not, Lara is now 44 (according to various sources, she was born on February 14, 1968) and Sam is about 55 now so 20 years is a little off the mark.

I mean in this screenshot, Lara doesn't look 44, she looks around 30-something. But I guess since she is 44 now, it's not that weird. Nonetheless, I salute you for your great work.

Hmm, Sam x Lara... interesting pairing. Mainly because I never imagine Lara to be any older than her early to mid thirties, and by Conviction Sam is fifty-something...
Not that I don't like this, of course. It is an interesting and cool idea, a Splinter Cell/Tomb Raider mash. And kudos to you for using the Sam from my favorite SC game

Could be interesting... But it depends on which one. If you're referring to Daniel Craig's James Bond, then it would be a definite "NO" because the guy creeps me out. Besides, none of the others are as sexy as Fisher is, in my humble opinion.

It's hard for me to imagine Sam Fisher being a softy towards anyone but his daughter... haha. But this is so awesome! I'm a huge fan of both games, and i think these 2 would make a great team. They'd have all angles of stealth, full frontal assault, bad-assery covered

I completely agree with you regarding Sam being a softy. In fact, that is why I'm still portraying him here as being a little gruff with Lara even though he's basically letting her know that he cares about her and doesn't want anything really bad happening to her. I figured that if he was married up until a few years ago, the potential for him to feel something for a woman other than his daughter must still be there.
As a side note to this, did you read the Splinter Cell: Conviction novel called "Endgame"? Anyway, in it we find out at some point that Sam actually slept with one of his ex-student and I thought the idea was so hot, especially since she was a lot younger than him. It says in the book that he didn't want to do it at first because he thought she deserved much better than him... Guh! "Are you freakin' kidding me, Sam?" is what I thought. 
But I digress...

I didn't even know about that novel! And that DOES make him hotter! But then maybe he does feel something for Lara in that pair up...and doesn't want her to be hurt.

I can help you in a collab if you want to. I keep myself in shape with geopolitics enough to build a descent plot that follows a storyline or makes one altogether. Of course, in all my collabs, I like the fellow writer to have a say in the plot since he/she writes characters that are affected by the story as well. So I like to keep it fair and not take all control. I'd be honored to write something about this, and since you are the one with the idea, I'll be honored to have you as my partner in crime to produce said fic.

At first I thought it would be a bit of a strange combination for a crossover since they don't really operate in the same spheres. And then I remembered the Tomb Raider movies and how Lara's quest for a certain artefact had gotten her involved in events of an international scope, forcing her to go head to head with some rather powerful people and/or organizations. Even though it was very different from the games, I thought it worked very well.
I would love to do a collaboration with you but I think I'll stick to story/plot consultant, so to speak. I would prefer to leave the writing to you, if you don't mind.

And yes, at first I also thought about how strange it could be, but after thinking the same way you thought and after reviewing in my head the events of the SC books, I came to the conclusion that it would not be as far-fetched as I thought it to be. In fact, the level of fun and challenges involved was what gained my attention (plot freak) and the possible relationship in between these characters seeing how their personalities are... heheheh... fun (and I'm not a professional shipper... if you know what I mean, LOL) These parenthesis are mocking me... lol.
