Description Yet another digitalized version of an earlier alien concept of mine.

This is a fungoid composite organism composed of hundreds of specialized worm-like units working together to produce something analogous to a sapient intellect, albeit one speculatively believed to lack a singular consciousness. Bzulv come in a variety of forms adapted to particular societal roles and it is debatable whether every other large organism remaining on Bzovu, the Bzulv home world, are in fact Bzulv adapted to forgotten or purely aesthetic forms.

Here’s a question. Are these things like philosophy zombies in that they can imitate a sapient intelligence like humans to a high degree of accuracy? or are they more like Rorschach and the scramblers, in that they have the intelligence but lack the ability to perfectly mimic conscious beings do to there being some things that consciousness is required in order to process?

Ohh, nice alien! Love the idea behind it!

But, if they don't have a singular consciousness, does this mean that the bzulv have a hive mind, or are they like the scramblers from Blindsight--completely devoid of sapience?
