hmm...well, i never played paper mario, so im guessing the characters are the same from regular mario. so i would say peach and bowser.

and yeah, the characters are pretty much the same from regular mario. Your really missing out for not playing. Paper Mario 1 and 2 are great. (I don't know about 3, since I don't have it, but I want it)
