Description
This is a house design meant to be the living quarters for the alien species that I have created in my previous posts, who inhabit the planet Dyploon, my made-up world.

On this page you can see the initial sketches where I was trying to figure out what kind of look and building technique I want to represent through this house. I wanted something natural, organic and flawed, to look like it's alive and used by its inhabitants. I tried many things, my inspirations went from baskets, tree houses and old hutches to floating houses, bamboo houses and weaver bird nests. As you might have noticed the weaver bird nests were the main idea that I went through with, combined with some other structures.

Just like the alien race, for this house I made a 3D sculpture to use as a base. It's just a simple sculpture with a simple yellowish, 3 source lighting, the most important thing that I needed this model for is the woven basket texture, which would otherwise have to be a stock photo, but a 3D model not only that it doesn't look like a cheap photo overlay, but it also gives the lighting information.

So the model is basically the final design and I will post soon the final render of the house with all the painting and details.
