There are other things I should be working on... but I was overcome by the urge to animate. I was never completely happy with my avatar, but after this new version, I find I'm still not happy with it. XD I think the wolf itself is animated to the best of my abilities, so critiques on the run cycle are greatly welcome! I know it's not perfect, but I don't know how to fix whats wrong.UpdateI've doubled the frame rate! But I forgot how many it has now... And I still can't decide between white or black.
A reference from an old youtube video I had saved was used, but I don't know to locate it again.

Honestly, I like the darker one because I like the sense of a dark storm and the bright white wolf doesn't make that much sense in that dark context...
(I think a bit of rain to the scene would make it incredible!)

I think that rain would look nicer, I can't actually think of a time I've seen snow and lightning together... I've seen lightning without rain but never lightning and snow! I'm not sure they can actually work with each other.

I didn't even think of that. XD But I can say I have seen a few winter thunderstorms! I've heard they're actually more dangerous during a snowstorm, as the snow creates more friction and thus more powerful lightning.

Most real references I've seen, the tail barely moves at all, and I prefer to have movement, so I can't find a reference for a moving tail. XD

I think the issue with the tail is that it looks (and feels) like someone is holding it in place at the very tip. Meaning, if you look at the center of the tail, it sways great but then when you look at the tip? There is hardly any swaying motion at all and feels like it is pinned to a billboard. I'm definitely no artist but, i bet if there was much more sway on the tail, at least 1.5 times more than the mid section, it would look much better.
Otherwise the animation looks great to me
