Description
The Type 2 Light Cruiser or Beta–class Light Cruiser is the smaller version of the Type 2 Heavy Cruiser. It armed with 26 Galactica-style guns but has thin and less armor than the Type 2 HCR. Like all Light Cruiser it doubled as a Scout Cruiser. It also carried Strike Craft along with the normal Raptor and Shuttle. Despite it similar to the Type 2 Heavy Cruiser, the Type 2 Light Cruiser was not as well received. She is 685m long.
The Light Cruiser Bard is an example of a Type 2 Light Cruiser.
