Description
Following the highly praise and much loved Type 46 Command Battlestar is not easier task but that duty fell to the Type 54 Command Battlestar or the Zeta III–class. Designed by Caprica the Type 54 is much more practical than the Type 46. It more easily repaired, modernized, and refitted than the Type 46. At 1401m and carrying 80 Vipers, those half the number of the Type 46, the Type 54 has proven itself as an important part of the Colonial Fleet. Since her design like all Caprican designs let her exchange parts with other vessel like the Type 53 Battlestar, minor repair can be done without entrance space dock. Coming into serviced in 6860, the Type 54 Command Battlestar serviced always up till the Peace Conference when the last of her Type was destroyed while attempting to defense the Colonies.
The Battlestar Bacchus is an example of a Type 54 Command Battlestar.
