Description
The Type 1 Light Cruiser or Alpha–class Light Cruiser is about 70m shorter than its big brother the Type 1 Heavy Cruiser. 180 were planned but only 135 completed. It armed with 16 Galactica-style turrets and several point–defense guns. Like all Third–Rate Warships it doesn’t carried any Vipers just Raptor, Shuttle, and Strike Craft. Like all Cruiser, either Heavy or Light, it designed for offense. Light Cruiser also doubled as Scout Cruiser.
The Light Cruiser Abbateggio is an example of a Type 1 Light Cruiser.
