Alli stepped onto the platform, turned and faced the room. The platform moved and adjusted around her as the side panels closed in close to her. Despite her efforts, her body still refused to act on her will. She could hear a soft hum coming from the stand behind her as she felt her eyes close, plunging her into darkness.

Minutes passed as the hum became more clearly audible. It seemed as if there was some sort of energy field forming around her, making her feel a strange sensation like something was moving under her skin. She instinctively tried to lift her hands up as her eyes felt like they were burning, but nothing moved. Moments later, she could have sworn she felt something touch her skin and the little clothing she wore. Her attempts to call out for help were met with crushing silence.

Unknown to Alli, the device on her back was not only controlling her motor functions, but it was also releasing countless microscopic machines into her body. The platform's energy field activated these devices, which altered certain aspects of her body, converting her eyes almost entirely, as well as adding powerful magnetic anchor points to various locations on her skeleton. A robot deftly removed her underwear, and fit her with a new, metallic "outfit" before vanishing from the lab.

Alli couldn't tell how long she had been standing there when her eyes finally opened again. Immediately she was struck by how different the room seemed to look. Colors seemed to have new depth and everything appeared somehow clearer. The energy surrounding her seemed to be slowly dissipating, and she wondered if she was going to be released and if so, what she would find had happened to her.
