Description
As Alli stood looking back and forth between the door and her disobedient legs, another wave of energy erupted from the device on her back and spread throughout her body. She was stunned to find herself suddenly unable to move at all, other than her eyes. The device warmed ever so slightly as she stood there, frozen in place.Without warning, Alli found herself straightening up, turning and walking toward a strange stand at the side of the room. Her eyes darted back and forth in near panic as she realized she couldn't stop herself. It seemed the device had somehow taken control of her body, and she was helplessly along for the ride. As she approached, the top of the stand moved down so it was closer to her height and the front panels opened as if to welcome her.
Something told her she didn't want to get into that, but her body wouldn't respond to her efforts to turn away. What was being done to her? Who or what is behind it? And what was going to happen when she reached the stand?

I know exactly how you feel... as a college prof (choosing NOT to teach during summer sessions and progress upon research instead) i don't get paid from mid-May until right before Labor Day... feels like i'm broke in the summertime. On the up-side, i've a lot more time to doodle and dabble with statue/freeze/mannequin/MC stories and pics at the moment.

Actually, this implant idea is something that's been bouncing around in my head for a very long time. The idea of something attached or implanted that can take control of my body, leaving me helpless... mmm.

Personally- and my age is showing here- i've always been partial to the old-fashioned stovepipe style (electronic lights and gizmos flashing) mind control helmet, such as those featured in the original Buck Rodgers serial starring Buster Crabbe. Similar idea as your implants, Ms. AD, but slightly less stylish and without the same panache.

So, I had to look up that reference as it was "before my time". I can appreciate what they accomplished back then with the limitations on the materials and technology. I hope my newer more sleek and modern interpretation is still at least somewhat appealing.

Technically speaking, the original BR serial was even before my parent's time; yet I grew up outside NYC and they had a lot of (black & white!) sci-first Saturday movie serials on reruns on Channel 11.... One of FIVE total TV stations. I like the blank expressions and monotone repetition of orders given Buck and his friends while wearing MC helmets, as well as their jerky-jerky robotic stiff movements. I sometimes fantasize about being trapped into wearing such a gizmo and falling under complete, unhesitant, autonomous and unquestioning obedience to a pretty woman: helpless to resist even the most silly, awkward or humiliating commands. That would be quite a thrill. I'm also a "switch", so I wouldn't mind putting the helmet onto somebody else. Your implant version is more elegant than a 1930's Saturday serial, and it's protagonist is WAY more attractive than Buster Crabbe.
