Another commission for of my Legendary Godzilla, but somewhat updated.
I've been meaning to draw my speculative image of what Legendary Pictures' Godzilla will look like again, so this commission gave a boost I needed. The colors were actually requested by ~kaijuoh in his order (hope they're desert-y enough), but I think these fit the design better.
*Note: One might say that I forgot to draw the dewclaws on his feet - actually, this is a subtle homage to the Showa Godzillas (minus the '54 and '55 designs) of having three toes.

I'd have left out the ears, but aside from that, it's a great piece work. It's Godzilla, no doubt about it.

his feet are the only thing wrong, but everthing else in this version fo the design is write, the only thing i would change, would be keeping the brachio feet

Beautiful design idea..though I have to agree about the palms and soles of the feet..the brightness of the green is a bit distracting. But overall this is a wonder concept of what Godzilla could look like.

The only thing I don't like on this is the weird bright green on the underside of his hands and feet. Other than that I think it's a pretty cool.

Personally, I think the only time someone truly "misses the point" is whenever they don't give a titular character their "bare minimum" trademark features - I always recognize Godzilla by seeing a radioactive/mutated, bipedal dinosaur-like creature with jagged fins on his back. If he doesn't meet that bare minimum, then he either looks less than generic or completely unrecognizable (to me, anyway).
You could say the same about a cheeseburger - you take away the cheese and bun, it misses the point of being a cheeseburger. The condiments are just extra details that the individual deems necessary for satisfactory taste. Good food for thought, eh?

AWESOME! i really really love this new take on your take on the Legendary Godzilla! it's very very epic looking. i love the fact that it looks a lot more dinosaurian than previous designs. i also love the anatomy and how your awesome style looks on him. i also like that spinal column pattern on his chest. i really love how the colors came out, they make him look a lot more natural and like a dino. it's also a break form seeing your usual but totally awesome "Ray Green" (the name i dubbed it as) color. overall, everything just came out simply amazing. truly phenomenal job dude! if only they used your design for the movie. i just hope that one day i'll be able to commission you too
