Commission for - his own Monsturra!Ah, it felt good to bust out some markers again. Not to sound like a broken record, but it's muuuuuuuch better than the scanner can show (come to think of it, I don't think I ever did scan a grayscale marker sketch before; it's always been photos). These Cool-Gray Prismacolor markers simply do not like to be scanned, I guess. :/
But even so, I had a lot of fun here, especially with the line work. Monsturra's a pretty cool kaiju.

Thanks, man. I personally think Ray did a great job with this take on the character, and it be a good reference point for the next time I draw the picture.
On a side note, Monsturra's not a natural kaiju, but a clone of what is essentially the Godzilla of my series, Monsturra Rex.

I agree, as a said viewer I find this look to be quit outstanding, it's primal and titanic yet somewhat new and interesting.
Ho I see, was it clone as a mean to combat the M-Rex? Kind of like they did withΒ kiryu?

Eh, I wish you were watching my page, because I have since change Monsturra back to a creature of natural origin that is raised by humans to be a Defender of mankind. Yeah, not as original as the clone thing, but hey, it works. By the time Monsturra appears in my universe, well in a more public sense, M-Rex had disappeared and is presumed dead.
