Description
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a crossover that just needed to happen.Commander Keen (from the Commander Keen MS-DOS games) and Spaceman Spiff (from the Calvin & Hobbes comics) finally come across each other on their never-ending exploration of the known universe.
This is just a sketch I decided to whip up last night, and I think it turned out pretty good.

I'm working on a mod for a similar game that was released around the same time period as Commander Keen.
The main character's spaceship in this mod was inspired by Spaceman Spiff's.

This was a Commander Keen main screen by Apogee that I converted to Calvin wearing his helmet from Yukon Ho! from the Calvin and Hobbes comic series by Bill Waterson. [link]

ZOUNDS this is a worthy team-up. 
I was tempted to team Spiff up with Roger Wilco (speaking of late 80s/early 90s space heroes), but that might imply Spiff was a nincompoop for even teaming up with Roger.

As someone who is also quite a fan of the SPACE QUEST series, no one can surpass Roger as #1 nincompoop.

Commander Keen was from some old MS-DOS (PC) games from the late 80's and early 90's. They're about a kid who travels through space in a homemade spacecraft and saves the day from evil aliens. They're actually a lot of fun, and a lot of the worlds (and their creatures) are really creative.
There's videos on YouTube, and you might find some more info on Wikipedia.
