I was definitely trying something a little different with this one. I was going for a more stylized color palette; I wanted to emulate a bit of Bob Eggleton, especially with the use of green. I also wanted to use some purple, and the combination of the yellow, green, and purple really gave this a really toxic, oily feel. I always try to depict Hedorah with a very grimy look, given that he is literally a walking mass of sludge. And, as usual, if I ever include some factory/smokestacks to compliment the Smog Monster, I always try to make the smoke look as oppressive as the monster that feeds on it.

Be awesome if Hedorah was used in a horror film without Godzilla. Plenty of R-rated special effects of peoply dying and desolving from Hedorah's sulfuric acid mists.

Nice! I have yet to actually see the movie from which this guy originates...I only know him from the old NES game. I definitely like the use of colors; they do a good job of advertising his toxic nature.
