Nicely drawn. Magnus has some nice suggestions, though with my lesser knowledge of canids my mind immediately thought Scarab was cringing. I can see how some eyelid-age might be more cringe-y looking.

If I may suggest something to help you grow as an artist...
The expression here is not really like Scarab here is cringing.
It's obvious that it's not a happy-mood, but it doesn't seem to be cringing, from the large (open) eyes. The downward head-tilt is reminiscent of cringing, which is good, but the lack of closure on the eyelid takes away from the 'cringyness' of the character.
The front-slouch in the chest (Especially in Canidae characters) is very telling of an offpleasure, but it doesn't seem to be cringing, but more of a Concerned-look. Maybe he's (Scarab IS a he, rite?) not agreeing with a plan, or maybe he's just asking for help with something, but the emotion is more geared towards concern/embarrassment (Almost solely because of the lack of the eye being clenched shut, and the upward curved line above his eye)
