Description !!!!!PLEASE DOWNLOAD FOR BEST QUALITY!!!!!

!!!!!PLEASE VIEW THE IMAGE WHILE LISTENING TO THIS SONG [link] FOR THE FULL EFFECT OF THE IMAGE!!!!!

!!!!!I STRUCTURED THE IMAGE ACCORDING TO THE SONG!
THE BEGIN IS FOR THE ION THRUSTERS AND THE ADVANCED RACES
THE MIDDLE IS FOR THE PLANET, MOONS AND BACKGROUND.
THE END IS FOR THE IMAGE IN A WHOLE!!!!!

also kudos to the person who made this epic remix!!!

this piece took me about a week. the reason why this one took so long was because, the first psd file got amaged when i was nearly done with the image and i had to start over! then i was nearly done with the scene but the frikkin thrusters took like a whole day to get right and positon them! but it was worth it and before i begin to describe this system, i would like to point out some of the image's features.

1) the image highly resembles Alpharyx Sytem: [link] . reason being is:

-the positon of the planet and moons are almost exactly the same
-the colours are almost exactly the same
-the positon of some of the ion thrusters are almost exactly the same

2) differences include:

-the gas giant in this image is leveled with the system's equator
-the foreground moon is flat with the image
-their are much more ion thrusters
-the light sorce is not in the center of the image

this kinda pissed me off, because now i have 2 images that look nearly exactly the same!!! also, i think the image looks a little too restless, mainly the background, but i still think its a good image!

ok! now for the description! fellow viewers, i give to you.....

Blue Intelligence

This is the Daptaris System, and its colonized by 3 different, super advanced races:

The first is a sorta silicon based race and populates the foreground moon, Baratrix, which is only rock and no water. They can be a little rash, rough or unwilling when it comes to making a descision, negotiating or talking to others. But thats just the way they are, and they can't help it despite their efforts to control it!

The second race is more of an aquatic/ land race. They can live in both water and on land. They colonize the upper left moon, Hydrinia, which is mostly water with some land. A very intelligent and fast acting species, they are the most intelligent in the system! And their ability to live on both land and in water also makes them very suitable for most planets!

The third race is very similar to we humans with some differences. Their bodies have a lower percentage of water to substance, due to the moon not having the abundance of water as Earth. Very intelligent and fast acting and kind, they have a friendly rivalry with the race on Hydrinia. They colonize the innermost moon, Ellavine, which is mainly rock with a few large lakes.

By sharing resources that the other moons don't have, these three races are capable of living in peace and avoiding conflict with one another.

However, the reason why they are really intelligent is that, none of the moons they live on have a magnetosphere to proctect them from the deadly radiation that their star sends their way.
This is because each of their moon's cores cooled and stopped producing a magnetosphere.

So they invented a hyper-advanced technology which they call the M.R.S. (Magnetic. Radiation. Shield.), that can withstand the high temperatures and pressures of their moon's cores, and generate a very large artificial magnetosphere for each moon, that can even reach the other moons.

They also developed a technology that brought their moons closer together so that it would be easier to travel between their moons. (pretty cool, isn't it?!)

so i hope you guys like it and comment if you can!

Nice work! Looks like you only used fractals for the nebula..Try using the Clouds Filter too(Filter > Render > Clouds), and the Eraser and Smudge tools for sculpting the shape.

Its very good but a word of advice: fractals can be a good and a bad thing. Too many can overpower a piece.

I really like this. Especially the rocket trails. It has a lot of depth to it, even the spices populating the moons.

One tweak: The lens flare really pulls the image together, but it's a little too crisp. You might want to try softening it a little. Maybe a different tool or a slight blur filter?
