its pretty simple really. all you need is a high res image of saturn's rings which you can get from wikipedia, and a little math. i take a one pixel slice through the rings from the innermost edge to the outermost edge and then stretch it out. after that i work out the ratio of the outermost edge to the planet center and apply a polar coordinates to it.

Hi, I used the low version of your saturn rings texture ( Stock Image - Saturn Rings ) in a school project.
My project will not be diffused and only be available by my teacher and me.
drive.google.com/open?id=1UABE…
A link to the ressource and its author have been added in the readme of the project.
If you feel that I should not use this ressource or present you a link to the project itself, I'll do it but in a private conversation.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks for this! I used them to make two videos in which I converted the moons and rings into music. Both can be found at system-sounds.com, with credit to you in the descriptions and at the end of each. Wouldn't have been possible without your work!

This is the specific use-case of your image: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks6Ydi… It will also be used on AREA 11 of the game, which of course features Saturn. So again, let me know if I should take it out or what I need to do to comply with your license. Thanks, and good work; it looks awesome in-game.

Hi Alpha. Nice texture. May I use it in the game I'm working on? It's called "Sylph: Project Miyaji" and the web site is here: eightvirtues.com/games/?page_i… I can give you credit in the game's credit sequence if you like. Let me know, and have a good weekend. -Kevin

Hi. We've spent ages looking for good pictures of Saturns rings, thank goodness we finally found this! We're looking to make a free educational phone app to teach people about the Solar system and would like to use this image in the game.
