I like to fire it up and make sure it's working before I close everything up. I did a POST without the drives. Then I started it up with the hard drives, then after the optical drives (yes, I still use those
). I had to wait for the front filter to dry after I washed it out in the sink. I also took the opportunity to check the integrity of the SATA cables.
