Description
I don't know, but it appears that im posting more and more hardware-related stuff, wierd eh?This is my least powerful desktop (for real!) and in the specs, you will see why, even though by the looks of the cooler, you'd think this would be a powerful machine.
Essentially, Its called a crash dummie because I use it to test out questionable software before installing the software on my established systems. I also use it to test out new hardware (ram sticks, graphics cards [it doesn't have one itself!; I use the integrated graphics] etc.) since thats also what it does. and it looks like a mess in there, all the wiring, but eh, what computers don't use wires?
I actually had thoughts about OCing this, but the BIOS doesn't really support over, however it supports under, ironic...
A cool fact: this is also my linux machine, since I have 2 swap drives (one for PATA drives and one for SATA drives); I can use windows 7, 8, ubuntu; almost anything honestly.
specs:
Biostar Micro-ATX nvidia am3 motherboard (don't know its exact model #)
AMD sempron 130 ( told ya! xD )
Xigmatek Loki CPU cooler
Xigmatek asgard ii PC case
3GB generic ddr3 1333 MHz memory
Antec generic 500W PSU (non-modular)
DVD reader drive
Antec SATA swappable drive
older white PATA swappable drive
Rosewill Wireless G PCI card
thats it essentially, the swappable drives are the ones that hold the harddisks that hold the Operating Systems.
UPDATE: I am now using this as not only a crash dummie, but server, since I hardly use it for the crash dummie purposes, but at least its there when I need it
and the Xigmatek Loki actually looks like a good cooler, and it does a good job actually cooling my sempron computer, so I'm seriously considering using another Loki for my new desktop, tell me what ya think.
