Yep, here's my new server, although it won't be doing anything for now, got to run tests on it.but Wow... I really need a new camera... that is probably one of the next major things I should be thinking about.
specs:
Powerup G54-8019 executive mid tower case
Ultra Xfinity 500W Power Supply (yes I know major overkill...)
Samsung DVD RW Disk drive
Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 7200 RPM hard drive
ECS h61h2-m2(1.0) Intel LGA 1155 M-atx motherboard
Intel core i3 2100 Processor w/ stock intel heatsink
Patriot Gamer 2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDr3 1333 (PC 10666) memory
and Windows Home server 2011 x64

A 500 Watt PSU is overkill?! You're talking to a person that has 1000 watters in almost all of his machines. I guess I see your point for a M-ATX Board, those don't need all of that extra power. But enough about power,

that is true, and thanks, it isn't much... but it is a start. I am thinking about buying 2 raid cards for Hot-swap capabilities and adding some of those hot-swap bays to it.

May I suggest Some Dell PERC 6 Cards, I really like the technology used in those, considering I have machines with PERC 4's and PERC 5i's in them. I have always Used Dell PERC Cards
