Wanted to go for a slightly psycho look to her because halloween and shizCould have done a few things better, the background is the main trouble I had (if you cant tell it's meant to be a Forrest... yeah, I know)

The picture caught me already the first time I visited. The coloring is beautiful. I have to oppose you on the background though. It fits nicely, doesnt steal views from the character and still leaves some details like the tree.
I only do not like the blushes, but thats more due to personal preference.

First of all, great piece just in general... Second: how do you do the lines, tool or just practice?
You see I'm always a bit envious of artists who do really smooth lines in a whim, I have a shaky handΒ Β Not that I can't get smooth lines but it takes a while to do 'emΒ Β

I just practiced a lot, something that helps me is to draw with my whole arm in a very quick swiping action and not just my wrist. That doesnt mean that I do them right at first, I redraw each line three or four times just to train my arm muscles in which way they need to go. But dont worry, this may have good linework but you havent seen the stuff I havent posted xD.Β
Something I can recommend is to just spend an hour or two a day creating the smoothest lines possible in a straight line, once you feel comfortable with how they look, try to do curves. I'm sure that you'll be able to in no time.
A good brush could also help with guidance.
