Do you ever wonder what's it like to be hunted in the dark?---------------------------------------------------------------------------
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeIt's just Talon!Dick from New 52 Nightwing issue #29 with some tiny changes.
I didn't make him all veiny just cause I didn't feel like it, sooooo maybe it's a new Talon serum? Also, not the best action pose, but I'm trying all sorts of new things, so decided not to make it too hard on me.
I wanted to kinda make it look like you were being hunted by an owl in the night.

I don't think Dick would ever be a loyal Talon to the Court. He is extreamly loyal to Batman, almost to a fault, going so far as to stay "dead" per his request even when he didn't want to, and the guy has willpower in spades. He's even on the list of people that could potentaly join the Green Lantern Corps and can resist the affects of Joker Venom, fear gas, and Ivy's spores. The Court has a lot of work cut out for them if they are going to make him their pupet. Maybe it's their blood on his knives. Hmm...

but if they do get him on their side he might be a very powerful tool.
I like to imagine that the Court got their hands on Dick a long time ago when Dick was still young and before he met Batman. They must have at some point since they put a piece of metal under his tooth for years without anyone knowing. I also like to believe that they probably put a little mind lock or brain washed him so he would forget he ever met the Court when he was young. So I pretend that Dick a trained sleeper agent for the Court, and when the Court needs him they will "unlock" his Talon side. But for now they don't need him, so thy left him alone.
But its just my imagination.

That is something they would do. They keep their Talons on ice until needed and that was centures ago. New tech could be used to make unknowing slaves and double agents. They could use something like the Hypnos that can shut down an agent it they disobay. Oh, I can feel an AU forming. I'd write it if I wasn't already working on crossover event that, couinsadetaly, also envolves the Talons, more spisificly Cobb.

haha yeah, my picture was the result of what I think the Court does to their newer recruits. Just in case they need new hands in an emergency.

I'm drafting it now. I'm thinking the new serum is a lot like the super soldier stuff from Capitan America (increase strength, endurance, pain resistance, brain functions, bla bla bla) and a mental control trigger embedded into their subconscious that activates it. When inactive they forget everything they've done as a Talon until activated again. You can't interrogate someone on something they can't remember doing. Also the new serum keeps them alive, hence the lack of creepy blue veins and loss of skin pigment. A major flaw with the old Talons was that they were already dead, an advantage when fighting normal opponents but a flaw when fighting the Batman. The no kill rule didn't apply to the old Talons. Now Bruce can't go all out and cut loose on them. He and the others will now have to restrain themselves.
As for plot and in an attempt to not spoil too much: The Court is back, so is Cobb, a new Talon is giving Batman a hard time, Dick is having a hard time remembering the past month, stuff happens, more stuff happens, angst, Batman is a better dad than most fans give him credit for, Damian, more angst, Dick's a troll, Red Hood, more Damian, plot devise, fight to the death, another fight to the death, just death, Superman somehow gets involved, Batman is the GODDAMN BATMAN, and the Dynamic Duo.
Decipher that mess as you may.

Kind of seems like he's in some sort of haze, but doesn't realize it. Instead of helping the good guys, he hunts them. His prey are his fellow predators...

That's pretty much what I drew. He's not really himself in this picture. The Court of Owls tend to rely on their Talon being loyal, but I imagine that for Dick he would never be loyal to them, so they have to break him. He's pretty much dead inside here hahahaa.

I can just picture Dick hunting someone in the dark and just when he's gonna strike Batman jumps in front of him and is all like, "Scaring the shit out of people at night is MY gig" or something like that.

Okay, at first when I saw this, I thought, 'Oh my goodness, this is amazing!'
But then I read the first line in your description, and I put a hand over my throat by instinct. XD
You did a fantastic job with this, Alpha! The pose, perspective, and dramatic lighting are wonderfully executed, and this is an amazing piece of art.
I think the part of what makes Talon!Dick so frightening is because Dick is commonly portrayed to be the kind, caring friend that so many people know. He finds a way to always pick himself up; and for a Bat, he's an overall happy-go-lucky guy.
So when we see Talon!Dick throw all his morals to the wind and starts outright murdering people? The very thought is enough to give you shivers.
I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, or if there are other people in the same boat who would like to see Talon!Dick explored a little more in the comics.

I think Talon!Dick is scary too. I imagine to get Dick to kill, he would have to be constantly tortured and experience a complete mental breakdown. That would be just too sad to see.
