From the upcoming Dragon Ball MMO, Dragon Ball Online. Part of the story was Gohan taught mankind the essentials of ki when he wrote the book groundbreaking science.

it's the book that gohan wrote to introduce the art of ki to mankind. He wrote it before the events of dragonball online which encouraged kuririn to re open the turtle school as it's new teacher, tenshinhan to open the crane school as it's teacher, and goten and trunks to open the Kikoukenjutsu that has to do with infusing ki into the blades for attacks.
