STORY

Cedrix sighed. He stroked his stallion's coat once more. But the stallion looked anything but happy about the journey ahead. Cedric just smiled. He tightened the saddle girth and fetched a couple of bags. He attached them to the saddle and took out another blanket. He carefully unfolded it and placed the blanket over Luciano's hindquarters who watched his rider with narrowed eyes and pinned ears. When Cedric had finished getting his horse ready for the journey, he smiled proudly.
"You look good!" he said with a smile on his lips. Luciano, however, did not seem to share his enthusiasm. He just looked gruff. Cedric rolled his eyes. He picked up his cap and went through his things one last time. He had attached the rifle to the left side of the saddle, the first aid kit and the navigation equipment, the tracker and the head-lamp were spread out in the pockets. Cedric was still smiling. He patted his horse once more before trying to get on its back. But then he remembered that he had forgotten something. He took a red ribbon out of his pocket. Luciano looked at him questioningly. Cedric went to his tail and fastened the ribbon there.
"Better safe than sorry." He then said and sat down on Luciano's back.
The first phase would go from here, Gyulakeszi, to Wolfsberg. The whole route would be around 250 km. He was eager to see the landscapes they would encounter. He scratched his horse on the withers.
He laid his ears back and wondered what bet Cedric had lost that they would now be stranded here. He had hoped to get to a warm area and jump over obstacles there, but no. From Skeargrén's cold winter straight into the next snowstorm. Great. Luciano snorted tensely. If he resisted, the journey ahead of them would be even more unpleasant. Cedric knew exactly how to handle it and that annoyed Luciano. He found a solution for everything. The other riders and their horses were just as annoying. He looked to the side and saw a bay horse running past them. How he would love to try to bite it. But he would only lose again because of a certain someone sitting on him.
When Cedric picked up the reins and signalled him to go, Luciano didn't exactly go forward with any motivation. There was no turning back now. He snorted once more.

Thanks again to let me borrow these two SilverWolf3746! I myself had very much fun creating this extra! Cedric for sure is very excited to go on this journey. His first horse for this trip, Luciano, is not very amused about it. Stay tuned to see how they will make in the first Phase c:
