Well, ever since drawing all that jewelry in the Leilani portrait I can't think about anything else anymore except shiny things. Or as the beautiful German word would say: Glitzerkram. So I thought "what the heck, I'm just gonna do another one and make her sparkle like no one else has sparkled before!" Okay maybe it's not that extreme, but you get the idea

Interestingly, this first started out as a "Draw This Again", something I occasionally do for myself to see my progress. And just because it's so hilarious I thought I would post it here. To be honest, the picture on the left is when I didn't have my iPad Pro with the Apple pencil but "just" a regular one. And it was when I just started out and had been drawing for about 1 and a half months. I didn't even like it back then (it landed in my scraps folder) but it took me 2 and a half hours. Really! Not that I am that fast now, but it's great to see that there is also some improvement when it comes to the time I need to finish a painting

I guess this is a good picture to look back to and gain some motivation and encouragement that skills like drawing just need time and practice. Everyone can do it, we just need to be patient. And one year from now I will hopefully look back at my Elven Princess here and think "meh, I can do better now"
