Gah! stupid art class, its got me in the Criticing mood (did i spell that right? ><
Well anyhow. i love the position, and the tones you have going on. The one thing that makes it feel imbalanced to me are the teeth. You only have them in that one section. I would say without it would look great, or maybe just the canines. I dont want your art to be messed up by adding teeth. But..it is just me.

i have a bad habit of drawing teeth wether or not you'd actually see them or not. and those are my favorite teeth to draw

I need to learn how to do fire. I am not sure if I want to do it your way or not. I will see with time.
The eyes look really weird too. They are creepy.

i'd suggest studying real fire
they're reflecting alot of the light from the fire, makes the Arcanine look pretty sinister
