so Ive been super busy recently. Long story short ive been going through a 'career' change as im starting to train to be a teacher which involves a f*ck tonne of application forms ect and im trying to sort out a graduate job within a school so I can leave the hell-hole I currently work in haha.
One of my absolute favourite films when I was younger was The Last Unicorn by Peter S.Beagle. I still abolutley love the film and on some levels appreciate it even more now as an adult with the ability to apprecaite the dialogue more. Its actually quite morbid in away as Amalthea grapples with her immortality and her new found ability to feel regret.

These are some experiments for how id imagine Celestia to appear in this theoretical series inspired by The Last Unicorn Ive been planning to create a comic/webcomic thing based on Celestia and luna when they where younger and what happened to the other Alicorns. -Really unfleshed out story idea incoming so be warned haha-

I imagine Celestia and luna are the only surviving members from a race of Alicorns that lived far away. The Alicorns being as powerful as they are where only really threatend by one 'species' of creature- the Draconequi and their propensity for chaos and unrest. Alicorns kept themselves to themselves and rarely ventured beyond their own borders out of disinterest in the world below them except to return balance to their world using some ancient artifacts known as The elements of Harmony. They are frequently mentioned in ancient literature as 'Allies of pony kind' which is where their eventual name of Alicorn came from. Alicorns functioned in a matriarchal society where those of royal blood where given a 'powersource' to draw from upon reaching the age of 100. Celestia inherited the sun from her Mother and Luna was given the Moon and later the Stars aswell after their brother is banished. This powersource is the reason that Alicorns like Celestia and Luna are so immensly powerful as they can draw energy from their respective solar body or sorce.(even at a base line royals tend to still be as poweful as the most magically adept unicorn but anyway).
Draconequi are extremely rare as they very rarely reproduce due to their immortality like an Alicorn. Similarily, Draconequi are solitary creatures that tend to dislike the threat of another powerful entity looming around them. Alicorns and Draconequi used to exist somewhat peacefully in a ying yang style of harmony metering out the chaos ect. However the jewels that the Alicorns held close to their chests (Elements of harmony) where regularily used as a threat to keep the draconequi inline and as such made them resent the Alicorns and long to hold this power for themselves. This resulted in a massacre of the dwindling Alicorn species orcehstrated by non-other than Discord. He wiped out the Alicorns and as such made them go extinct. Or atleast so he thought. Prior to these events the middle sibling to Celestia and Luna had been banished and the two sisters dispersed for their own safety. Celestia found herself in a distant forest in which she would dwell for decades believing that she was the only surving member of her species. over the years myth and legend surrounded the forest that she resided in, with ponies spreading the rumor that a winged unicorn-like beast dwelled within the forest. Despite her age she wasnt fully grown and had a lot of magical ability that she was yet to tap into. The forest she resided in masked her presence well but as her magic and legend grew she began to draw the attention of Discord who currently wreked havoc upon pony kind. Upon over hearing a similar legend being told by herbal gatherers within her forest of another winged unicorn existing high in the mountains she set out believing that it was her sister who was still infact alive. After reuniting with her sister they assembled to take back vengence on Discord with the Elements of harmony. upon taking vengence they also released pony kind from his grasp and garnered the respect and devotion of the three tribes as gods. They filled the void in their hearts left by their species extinction by creating their own Empire that would come to be called 'Equestria'.

So thats the bare-bones basic story line for now
