Here is a group shot of my TFA Seacons. From left to right: Nautilator, Overbite, Beastbox, Snaptrap, Seawing, Skalor, Squawktalk, and Tentakil.EDITS: Cosmetic tweaks. Mostly noses.

Yarrr!!! These be fine reinterpretations, matey! So, I know you've probably already done this, but could you break down the archetypes each Seacon is modeled after? Also, since Snap Trap is the leader (of course), Nautilator's the mechanic, Tentakil's the Navigator, and Skalor's the cook, what are Overbite and Seawing's functions?

Snaptrap - Oriental navies (PRC, Japanese Imperial Navy)
Beastbox - Monkey King
Seawing - British Admiralty
Overbite - Norse Viking
Skalor - WWII U.S. Navy
Squawktalk - Caribbean pirates
Nautilator - Spanish Armada
Tentakil - German U-boats
Overbite is the weapons officer/specialist, and Seawing is the Executive Officer (or XO).

A lil' late, I know, but I just came up with voice actor ideas for your Seacons had they appeared on Transformers: Animated--
Snap Trap--Keone Young
Seawing/Skalor--Dan Castellaneta (with Skalor's voice being similar to the Sea Captain's on The Simpsons)
Nautilator--Carlos Alazraqui
Overbite/Tentakil--Dee Bradley Baker (with Tentakil's voice similar to Klaus from American Dad)

I know you've stated that they won't form a 'conventional' Piranacon ( I personally reckon Piranacon will be their ship- a sort of Nemo's Nautilus thing with aspects of all their alt creatures included in the design), but I really hope you do and that Tentakill remains a leg, just so he can be 'Das Boot' in more ways than one.

Only quibble I have is the big guy's lines are thicker than the rest of the group, and I'm guessing that's because you technically drew him the same dimensions as everyone else.

I noticed it after the fact myself, but I think coincidentally it lends itself well to conveying his prominence in the group over the others. It also helps to relay his size and strength, too. At least I like to think it does.
