I'm so happy to finally show you this will-'o'-the-wisps!For those of you who are non-Spanish speakers, my brand name "Fuego Fatuo" means "Will-o'-the-Wisp" in Spanish, so I'm happy to see the first ones finished before many years thinking on making some
For this reason, I'll be doing a special release for this year's summer solstice and put a few of them (probably three or four) on sale in my Etsy shop.
They are casted in blue-dyed epoxi transparent resin with glow-in.the-dark pigment and will come inside a small glass lantern

Hi!
I will be listing ONE of them next October 12th at 23:00h (Spanish time // Time zone GTM + 2).
After that, I will be opening a limited preorder for a green limited edition of five and then a last blue edition preorder during 2014 of 5 or less. Before that, I suppose I won't be making them anymore as I don't have the possibility of getting more lanterns like those.

its been bugging me ever since I saw this this morning that I had the feeling I'd seen it somewhere before - then at work today I realised at work - it reminded me of my avatar - Jack Jack from The Incredibles - sorry that I missed these on etsy - they're fantastic

Por lo que puedo ver en los comentarios, todo un éxito, y no me extraña: Es una "monada" ¡Bravo! La idea de las lamparitas, y su diseño etéreo son un acierto: Parece "flotar" dentro
Como no he visto "Brave", a mí me han recordado la leyenda centroeuropea que dice que son las almas de los niños sin bautizar, atrapadas entre Éste y el Otro Lado. ¿Demasiado macabro para estos amiguitos?

¡Para nada! Las leyendas son las leyendas, y de ahí es de donde obtengo inspiración, así que si tienen que ser almas de niños, que lo sean

Bueno, no es la única versión acerca del origen del fenómeno (desde un punto de vista de origen legendario, claro), pero la figura tiene unas proporciones un tanto infantiles, así que es lo que me sugiere
O puede que últimemente no esté de muy buen humor, qué sé yo...
De cualquier modo, el comportamiento aparentemente caprichoso, errático, a veces maligno a veces benigno, de los ignis fatuus encaja bastante bien con el de un niño pequeño (lo sé muy bien, y eso que la mía es una bendita

Sí, soy consciente de que existen distintas leyendas, pero supongo que cualquiera me sirve. No suelo imaginármelos como almas de niños, de hecho, pero es un origen tan válido como cualquier otro.
Al fin y al cabo, en realidad no son más que combustiones frías xDD
