Here's a sneak peak at the "new" style I've been working on. This is currently being colored by my good friend and ultra talented painter, Doe.Tried to keep my faces looking like my usual style with a bit of a twist. Hair and facial features were more rendered, blacks are done with heavy hatching, pencils were completely eliminated by going straight to ink with *gasp* a ball point pen! Hopefully the end result is something a little more raw, with a little more energy and realism!

Without question this is extravagantly awe-inspiring, and with nothing more than a ball point pen? You make many artists knees buckle, that's for sure. Love Scarlet Witch & Iron Man the most. The whole piece is pure brilliance though.

It's difficult sometimes to mix different elements and keeping a personal touch.
I see Alvin lee in this one but more rich than usual! I like it !
Btw many use ball pen to ink, it's a cool tool to work with

Clean, yet full of vibrance and a powerful presence of "I drew this shit and it's fucking awesome".
Very impressive, it's something I've been trying to nail down with my own pen work, as I never seem to get my microns to nail the same pure energy as my pencil work.
I think I'll try this sort of inking style, so even though I'm not sure you meant to, you get a thank you from an aspiring comic artist.

lmao I tried to ink with a ball point pen today. its pretty convenient but I the fumes from the ink was a bit strong. Its not bad for inking though.

But please don't loose that exaggeration and the energy that your drawings always had. Making things too realistic loses that most times.

Can't help but notice that those look a lot like the Ultimate versions of those characters. Except maybe Iron Man, Haven't read Ultimate stuff in a while.

Wow this is definetly cool.
I like this alot, it does seem very real to me and gives each character a more human than fictional feel.
This makes me realize there is no change unless you make it, i've been reinspired yet again! Thanks!

Most definitely, but more along the lines of Vagabond by Inoue Takehiko than Samura I think. Organized chaos rather than frantic energy.

I like it, a bit more detail, slightly smaller eyes and you changed the way you draw face bones completely. The lines themselves have a more "sketchy" look to them, instead of the solid black you used to use. Great work.

Lately, my most favorite sketches are the doodles I used to make at work with a ballpoint pen. I think we're onto to something here!

alwyas thought the ball point pen looks amazing when u render a drawing with it..
if i had one critiq it would be thor has a little too much lippage. other then that looks awesome, ur wolverines are the best!

Loving the new style man. This is a real treat. I think going straight to ball point after roughs was a good move. Saves a lot of time with the inking process and generally just allows to flow the pen a bit more freely rather than getting too tight. This is an excellent move/style.
