Description
TEST FOUR: Exposing advanced DNA to extreme cold.Subject: Aran, Samus.
After the countless hours of lifting, moving and general tasks set by me the subject was in need of a rest. Even with advanced DNA the subject was still a humanoid and would require a long period of "sleep".
Since the red pahzon would soon wear off i knew that the subject might awaken from her sleep and try to escape. I then decided to mox both her sleep with a fourth test. The Ship's medical cyro-capsule had been modified by me to test out a humanoids strength when it came to extreme cold. Subject Aran, Samus with her stronger DNA would surley prove a greater test than the former inhabitant Captain Zel-Crew.
The Captain died when the temprature dropped below minus 36 degrees, but i suspect that Aran, Samus can substain life at a much lower temprature.
The test began well...
I Placed Aran, Samus in the capsule where she soon fell asleep as the last of the red phazon removed itself from her system. I then proceeded to lower the heat and monitor her body.
Everything was going well until the ship came under attack from an enemy craft.
Space Pirates soon invaded the ship and with only myself to defend the cargo they soon became too great in number. i could only make my way to a safe location and hope they did not de-activate me.
They took most of the ship's cargo, anything they could carry and made their way back aboard thier vessel.
Subject Aran, Samus was also taken still in her frozen state inside the cyro-capsule. They took great intrest in her and made sure she was still frozen when they took her onboard and left.
I will now repair what damage i can to the ship and file my report on Subject Aran Samus at a later date.
end transmission.

Uh, ever since Metroid Fusion, extreme cold is pretty fatal to Samus due to it being the Metroid's only weakness. Since she has Metroid DNA, well...

Fatal? I know it was her weakness, but considering Metroids don't die from cold (They just become vulnerable to everything else) I'm not sure if it's that fatal. Like I said, it would make her incredibly vulnerable, but, especially in controlled conditions like this lab, I'm not sure if it'd be that deadly.
It's been a little while since I've played Fusion though. I know she couldn't use Ice Beam, but I thought that was more because the Metroid DNA in her would reject it, or make her very vulnerable. But still, did it outright say cold was fatal to her? (Especially as cold is fatal to humans anyways, thus Cryogenic sleep relies on a bit more than just freezing humans.)

Nice. It has a "Sleeping Beauty" aspect to it. And having the monitor hovering over her adds a danger element.
Too bad for Samus, though. Lousy luck.

Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!
Now, whatever could the Space Pirates want to do with Samus?
A trophy? [link] [link] [link]
Perhaps a cute pet? [link] [link] [link]
Or a component in some other nefarious device? [link] [link] [link]
Well, not sure what's feasible with the tools you have. But still, eagerly awaiting the future chapters...
