Celestia should have just approached Discord at the gala in the new season 5 episode 7 ("Make New Friends But Keep Discord"). I loved how secretly the show producers put in all of those Dislestia moments.I squee'd out loud when she was the only one who laughed at Discord's Twilight joke and he smiled back at her nervously. Also, trolls deserve each other
At the end, Celestia admitted to Twilight that she personallyΒ invited Discord so he could make the gala more exciting and fun for her and all the guests. Discord seemed too out of character for me, though. He usually isn't that stupid or immature where he makes himself look like a fool. Not stupid enough to care that much about being ignored by one friend. The show should have really made him find another group to chill with, such as other mane six members or Twilight and Celestia. He was overreacting, and the show didn't really seem to notice how far they stretched out his actual character.
Oh well. Shame on them, and shame on Discord.
So here's another Dislestia. People kept recommending I do another one, since I didn't really like the outcome of the first one I did. So I sort of "redid" it through this. Hope you guys like it.

Okay, sorry. XD To be fair about how he acted in the episode, I get where you're coming from - but the fun part about Fluttershy being kind of a mother figure to Discord is that as old as he is, Discord is very much an inexperienced child when it comes to friendship. I imagine that's why he was so easily lured over to Tirek's side. So when it comes to friendship, yeah, he's going to be kinda childish not getting what he wants.

My friend and I love to RP Dislestia and mother/son Discord and Fluttershy. We both got a kick outta that particularly summarization. XD

I loved the moments between these two, even if they weren't directly towards each other. I love the development Celestia got - I feel Discord brings the secret side of her, even when it's unintentional ^^
But I didn't see Discord as put of character. I see him and Flutters as a mother/son relationship, and Discord being the childish brat that I see him to be, this episode just reinforced my mother/son headcanon. I'm ship-free! c:

We have free will in this fandom. Shipping is just a way of having fun, but people forget that.

Every artist is creative in they're own way; sees things they're own way. So duh, people ship different things because we have different minds. I don't see why that is such a problem. You do realize that the show isn't about shipping, right?

Oh, I also don't want to continue this on someone else's art. If you're gonna bother to continue, then you can look at any of my Fluttershy and Discord and scream at me that they're forbid to be friends because they're a male and female who are close. Because, face it, that's why Fluttercord is seen as canon, for the most part. Unfortunate truth, really.
