Description
The fire had started out almost laughable, small flames nibbling at the grass. The wind had changed though, and as soon as the wind picked up, the fires true nature showed. Flames billowed skywards, and it began to engulf everything in front of it as embers traveled on the winds, spreading their heat and death further. Mirage was near panic, instinct pushing on every nerve in her body, telling her to run. But Fizwizz had refused to, and had vanished into the smog shouting something about kittens. That damn runner had far too big a heart for her own good. Mirage paused a moment longer, caught between every honed instinct in her body, and loyalty to her newfound friend. And then her feet were running, to her surprise not away from the fire, but straight back into it, towards her new friend, who she had to make sure would come out safe. Kitten or not kitten.

Finished this a few weeks back when we had no electricity again for the day. Quite tricky, but I feel like I've come a far way.
