The Spinning Death
Real Name: Spinning Death - 004
Alias: Spinny
Powers: Automaton Physiology; Bulletproof Durability; Drill Protrusion; Enhanced Drillmanship; Jet Propulsion; High-Speed Flight; Cyber Mind; Self-Adaptation and is programmed with an artificial intelligence that allows it to learn as it fights its opponents and to solve almost any problem it encounters.
Equipment: A pair of manipulator arms and a massive drill that is powerful enough to burrow through steel.

(---"A thinking machine designed to be a weapon for the 1940s criminal underworld, the machine's elderly, chinese creator warned the criminals who forced him to build it, that the machine is so sophisticated that it could be possible for it to think on it's own and inevitably rebel against them. The criminals scoffed at the warning, but it does just that and more, as it ended up building duplicates of itself for it's own plan for world domination.

Fortunately, it's plan was stopped by Black Condor ; who managed to destroy the original robot with his ray gun. It's destruction then caused all the duplicates to then become inert without their wireless connection to the original. Though when all the duplicates were gathered up to be transported to a scrapyard to be melted down into munitions, one of them ended up escaping this fate by falling through a rainbow-colored portal that formed underneath it.

After falling through the tunnel for a couple minutes, The Thinking Machine ended up in The Super-Sargasso Sea . Specifically in the desert of The Broken Wastes near the settlement known as IronEdge, The Village of Machines . There the machine was picked up by some of the settlement's inhabitants that took it to the local engineer where it was looked over, modified and reactivated.

And since it doesn't have the connection to the original Spinning Death, it didn't have the programming to try to take over the world. However it did end up being able to learn more about it's new home and the new reality that it ended up on. The Spinning Death, which called itself "Spinny", was given a voice synthesiser so that it can properly communicate with others and it's advanced intellect allowed it to pick up on several different skills to help with it's survival in The Wastes. Though much of these skills were in the realm of engineering and it does help out with repairing the various other machines in their settlement along with whatever equipment is in need of a tune-up."---)

A robot from Quality Comics who fought The Black Condor. And like The Devil Dragon and The Mechanical Monsters , this is actually one of my favorite PD antagonists. I just like how it's designed and maybe that it's ability to learn makes me think of The Omnidroids from the first Incredibles movie. I mean this machine was able to learn to rebel against it's handlers and tried to take over the world, though this robot tries to do so by building an army of identical duplicates. So with this version I gave it the ability to learn as it fights, coming up with countermeasures on the fly for anything that it's opponent throws at it the longer it fights.

This version of Quality's Spinning Death is an open source character created specifically for use by anyone. Feel free to use it any way you wish. You must also give creator credit.
