Gort
Real Name: Gort
Powers: Mystic Automaton Physiology ; Arm Extension ; has the strength of a 1000 men, the ability to withstand the pressure of ocean depths, a maximum running speed of around 70 mph and can move with complete and absolute silence, allowing them to move or stand without disturbing anything and sneak up on anyone.
Equipment:
-A Heat Beam Emitter built in it's right hand that can cut through steel.
-Has a built in Floppy Disk Drive to allow Gort to use Caster Disks along with an added Harddrive to store a couple spells that can be used without the need for the physical disks.
-Limit Break: A Passive Caster Disk that allows the user to be capable of using powerful attacks and/or techniques after they fulfill certain requirements, such as channeling enough power or being near-death.

And here's another one of my favorite robots like Spotty previously. Yeah if it's not clear right now, I like robots like Superman's Mechanical Monsters , Spotty and Gort here. I find them more interesting then the robots you see in modern media since to me, these are a lot more charming for their old-fashioned simplicity then the robots you see today.

What has been commonly known as The Republic Robot, this machine was a recurring character seen in other serials by Republic Pictures, with the first version of this design being seen in the "Undersea Kingdom" serial in the form of the Volkites. It has made appearances in other serials like "Radar Men from the Moon" and "Zombies of the Stratosphere" and it is considered an iconic robot in the world of science fiction. It even appeared in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager called "Bride of Chaotica!" that was a love letter to early sci-fi.

Though with my take on Gort I decided to give them a much needed upgrade to make them less of a joke. Using the abilities of André Deed's Mechanical Man and Quality Comic's Bozo The Robot along with adding my own pieces of tech to it.

Also for those wondering why this Gort can move without making a sound, well in it's first appearance in Mysterious Doctor Satan, it was able to sneak up on people and then surprise them with a bearhug that apparently crushes the life out of Gort's target.

I haven't fully figured out their backstory yet, but I will do an update when I figure something out.

Edit (4/11/2022): It has come to my attention that the Republic Serial, Mysterious Dr. Satan. Was renewed back in 1968 and you can see it listed here at the very bottom right corner of page 44.

So I replaced the picture of the original Satan Robot with a screenshot of Undersea Kingdom's Volkite as a replacement since Dr. Satan's Robot was a redesign of this design. And plus the two's designs are still very similar to one another so it's not a HUGE loss. I mean I didn't change any of it's abilities I add to it. Also I'll probably do what I did with Spotty and make a new picture of this Volkite so it looks a bit cleaner.

This version of Republic Pictures' Volkite is an open source character created specifically for use by anyone. Feel free to use it any way you wish. You must also give creator credit.
