Meet Hershel the Dreamer! Well, he's kinda like our boy we know and love but he is different. I only drew his school uniform and his casual outfit since I figured he would look the same in Season 2 and 3 in this universe as well.

hoopadahboopa and I had talked about this a while ago, it's a what if universe where Hershel actually did meet the Calamity Girls at the park and became a part of their friend group when they were all in kindergarten. His parents are still divorced and thus him and his mom move to California when he's little. Upon coming to the playground with his platypus plushie, he attracts the attention of Marcy, who recognizes the toy. After trying to hide behind the toy and having a conversation with Marcy, he is quickly dragged to play with the girls, giving Hershel the friends he has always wanted.

Years later, they are still friends and all go to the same school. Often giving others catty quips alongside Sasha and gives Anne advice when she needs it. Hershel is less quiet in this universe and more vocal about his love of art but will still defend people who need it. Though he is more focused on his own friend group sometimes. This Hershel is more confident/argumentative towards his step sister as well. When Anne and Sasha hang out on their own, Marcy and Hershel spend time together. This makes Marcy feel less lonely in their friend group, as Hershel is usually willing to try out anything new Marcy had found. Be it a board game, video game, show, movie, etc. He will be willing to try it, even if he often loses against Marcy. Which is fine to him, it's better than the both of them playing sports. He also helps Marcy be more open towards other people, though Anne and Sasha let him know if he's being too pushy.

Though one night, on Anne's birthday, he agrees to meet with his friends at the park. Unknowingly about to step into a new adventure in a strange, froggy world!
