Khalil was an unexpected acquisition for Phoenix Dawn. Never did Cas think they'd be purchasing a stallion, and yet here they were. By all accounts, Khalil was a rare and profoundly gorgeous specimen of a horse and it was any wonder that the seller wanted to get rid in the first place. But there was one problem... the stallion just had no interest in mares. He'd been running with them for more than 2 years in the hopes of producing foals and yet, no luck. And not for a lack of fertility either; everything had checked out healthy. No; it seemed Khalil just had no interest in doing the do. In fact, he showed more interest in flirting with the other stallion over the fence than his own mares. So the frustrated owner had reached out to Cas, and they had ended up with an asexual arabian. Khalil has turned out to be an absolute pocket pony, with a curious and playful nature. He's everyone's friend and happy to sit below the mares in the ranks. Overall, he's a delight to own and work with, and shows the bravery and loyalty fabled in stories of Arabian horses. Though he has yet to show any inclination to reproduce, he's housed with the broodmares only at this time... just in case. Cas hopes, however, that they may be able to get foals from Khalil through other methods, as he really is a stunning boy. He's small and compact, with a strong neck and lovely wedge-shaped head. His shoulder is angled for free and big movement, and he tracks up behind like a warmblood, with his sloping croup and ideal hocks. His chest is deep and back short, typical for his crabbet breeding, though he gets away with a straighter, less swayed back than many of his bloodline. With his conformation, there's not a lot this flashy boy couldn't turn his hoof to. Khalil is a bit of a genobomb, carrying flaxen and two white genes meaning he should always produce foals with at least a bit of chrome.
