Personality: Even tempered and obedient, if a little distracted at times. Playful, loves being part of a big herd and is very sociable. Generally good mannered towards people but may nip her handler in very stressful situations.
History: Penare was born in a stormy week in February; a brilliantly colourful filly in an otherwise bleak and blustery setting. She was solid and had excellent bone so it was clear she would make a nice performance horse when the time came. Her trot was sweeping and workman-like and she kept up easily with the herd with her long legs and natural stamina.
